Develop Disciples
PDS Live is designed to help your church develop people through a disciple-development process like any of the popular models used today or one you design. PDS is designed to help you target people in your community and encourage them to move incrementally through a process until they become fully-devoted followers of Christ.
Many churches track and follow up with a person who attends for the first, second, and third time until they become a regular attender.
Attend 1 Time ► 2 Times ► 3 Times ► Regular Attender
Then the process of assimilation and discipleship varies among churches.
For example, some churches require a introductory class to acquaint newcomers with the church and offer an opportunity to become a member. Then there might be other classes, small groups or events that are designed to help people grow spiritually.
Whatever the process, PDS will help you target and communicate with your people at each step of the process encouraging and challenging them to grow and take the next step.
Here's just a few examples of how this can work:
- Track each person’s status as they move through your church's disciple-development process beginning with their first visit to the church and then at each major milestone and then annually as they renew their membership covenants if you choose.
- Track each person's spiritual status prior to your church so that you can assess who your church attracts. You'll know whether you are winning unchurched people or transfers from another church.
- Encourage each person to keep growing using automated email and form letters to congratulate them on their commitments and invite them to the next level of commitment. (Sample letters and emails are included with the program for easy customization.) For example, send a mass email to all regular attenders that haven't been to your membership class which announces the class.
- Tracking of every person’s history of small group involvement and their position within each group (member, host, apprentice, leader, coach, etc.)
- Detailed management of small groups: location, meeting time, leadership structure (division leaders, coaches, leaders.), maturity level, gender type (men’s group, women’s group), study curriculum, openness to new members, etc.
- Automatically generate lists of small groups open to new members to use for publicity. All the group info comes straight out of the database ready for you to distribute via email or print!
- Detailed management of ministry teams: location, meeting time, leadership & team members, skill requirements, etc.
- Automatically generate a list of your church's ministries to use for publicity and recruitment. All the info comes straight out of the database ready for you to distribute via email or print!
- Set membership involvement goals for small groups and ministries. For example, the church goal is to have 80% of all members in a small group—compare it instantly to the actual percentage.
- Identify regular attenders and members that are not in a small group or serving in a ministry team and send them email or postal mail encouraging them to join a small group or ministry team.
